George has a unique chromosomal anomaly which has affected his health, growth and development. George is 4 years old, and needs help with many things (except thinking). George is still learning to walk, communicates non-verbally (mainly with his facial expressions), has liquid meals, and needs the odd nappy change. Yet what George lacks in size he makes up for with personality and his natural state of joy is contagious! For his time at Bardon Community Kindy George is assisted by Carole who ensures he is able to participate fully in the terrific program.
Jack has a rare chromosomal abnormality and has been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. He has significant developmental delay affecting areas such as speech, fine/gross motor skills and toileting. Jack is assisted at kindy by Tania who ensures he keeps up with his peer group and gets everything he can out of the kindy program. He is coming ahead in leaps and bounds thanks largely to the wonderful teaching program and staff at Bardon Kindy. Jack LOVES going to kindy and the other children have welcomed him and look out for him as a very special member of their kindy family. He is a beautiful little boy who charms everybody lucky enough to have him in their lives.
